Hi everyone,
my name is Varvara and I’m from Greece. Living in London for almost 5 years has helped me travel a lot around Europe and the rest of the world. My main focus during my travels, apart from the different cultures and beautiful scenery, is FOOD. I truly believe that tasting local food offers a better and deeper understanding of each country’s identity and tradition. It’s an integral part of the whole travelling experience. That’s why I love exploring new tastes and mostly choose local businesses to do so. The majority of my contributions on Google maps are reviews and pictures of food and drinks from the perspective of a simple customer/ traveller. There are no filters, no enhanced colours or weird angles - I believe these belong to Instagram 
My pictures are simple shots of the food I try, a realistic view of what I see and taste wherever I go, accompanied with an honest review of my overall experience. Being able to help even one person avoid a bad restaurant or encourage another to visit a place with excellent dishes is the biggest reward the Local Guides’ community can offer. I would say I’m “all about food” when it comes to Google Maps, but - correct me if I’m wrong - this is one of the few things everyone enjoys in life.
