Not even a day passes by without using Google Maps. Amritsar, a small city in Northern part of India (also my hometown) is under development, slow however. I used to receive calls frequently from locals regarding property investment in my area because my area was not listed in google maps.
I then decided to join this Big community of Google local guides so that i could update multitudes and assisst them to find appropriate contacts for their queries. I started writing generally, however got addicted in posting reviews and images of undiscovered places.It not only helped me in enhancing my writing skills but also encouraged me to share views with other local guides.
Most of my time is spent in travelling different corners of my city, and i make sure to capture images to the places that have not yet been discovered in maps which includes businesses, shops, restaurants etc.
When it comes to photography, i am not very good at it, but sharing images on maps asked me for quality which i soon developed. Photographs are the prominent clues to any place, be it a fuel station or a bank on the highway. Sharing images and receiving likes for the same makes me extremely happy.
