What happened to Google Maps?

What has happened to Google Maps, really?

Take a look at this Google place: https://maps.app.goo.gl/hs66VjwF2WiRZwMD8?g_st=ic

There are only 66 reviews of this place. But you know what? Currently you can’t even read all these reviews. No matter sorting by relevance or newness, you can only read 40+ reviews. All the rest reviews are not available to read. What happened to Google Maps reviews, really? Has the Local Guide program become so cheap?

Ps. Not only at iOS app. Take a look at the desktop version of Google Maps. The content you can access is also largely limited. What happened? Is the resource for Google Maps becoming so poor in order to support AI competition? Perhaps it’s time for us LG to consider transferring to another platform, in view of Google’s current lack of commitment to Google Maps (for another example please take a look at the serious issue I’ve been encountering recently which is yet resolved after one month. That’s really pathetic).

Hi, @ivanos
I’m trying to check the place’s review and count it one by one, and the reviews are 66, but 24 of them are just giving stars and not adding some words. I think that even some of LGs only add the rating (stars), they are still counted inside the total number of reviews. I’m checking through my desktop.

Are you using Apple iPhone? Please check you iOS. Thanks. @ALG87

By the way, I am one of the reviewers of this place and I definitely don’t just leave rating. Did you see my review? @ALG87

I’m sorry, I don’t use iOS.

I haven’t seen your review among 66 reviews. Your last review that I can see on my profile was made three weeks ago.

Then that’s the problem. There are only 66 reviews of that place and the review I wrote for the place disappears. What a joke.

I think the problem is your reviews got hidden because of moderations from Google. I’m also facing the same problem after writing long reviews (maybe being falsely detected as AI), but I think it’s better to not delete your reviews. You can try to edit it. I know it’s frustrating and tiring, but until now, there are no guaranteed solution for this problem. From my experience, I just edit my reviews by trial and error. This is a good article from @MortenCopenhagen

No it’s not.

By the way, the oldest review I can see under your profile is your review of Alfamart.
