The Local Guides Program means “helping the local business by adding the honest reviews and spreading the awareness of the about the local businesses and services in my area”. Being a digital marketer as profession, I wasn’t aware of this program for a longer time. However, I have read an article about Google Business program on internet and I have researched about this unique program and landed at Local Guide Connect where I found I can be a contributor through Google Maps app by adding the reviews, photos, answering the questions, videos, and many more ways. This program has created a spark in my mind and pushed myself to became a Local Guide within 10 minutes of time.
I have started actively participating in this program by adding the reviews using the Google Maps Beta app and helping the local businesses to create their business account to showcase their product and services on the internet. I have created 50+ business accounts so far to help the local businesses in my area and have received a positive response from most of the businesses by seeing the weekly visit trend and inquiry calls to purchase their products and services that they are offering.
I have personally seen a smile on a locale business owner when someone calls asking for the shop details or product/services details on the phone. Also, I have seen there are many owners who have succeed by creating the post, adding their business time, and uploading the photos on Google Search. This gesture has encouraged me to contribute more in the Local Guide Program.
I would consider this is one of success to me as Local Guide by adding the honest reviews and helping the local business to come online to expand their businesses.
