What does the Local Guides Program mean to me?

Hello Google world! I’m Sara Mercado, 26, from La Paz, Bolivia. I’m a film actress. Become a local guide has changed my life a lot, the first time Ive read something about the program I was searching for an address and Ive read some comments about the place I was searching for, and it struck me that the writers had star badges so I`ve started to investigate about it.

Ive read many things about the program, the benefits and the contests, so Ive decided to become a local guide here. I posted almost all of the pictures that I had of many places and that was the most interesting part of being a local guide. You can take a lot of pictures and videos of many places you see every day and make honest reviews about it based on your own experiences and help the people.

I really love to walk on the streets almost every day and take pictures of new places also for me; the program helped me knowing my own city, appreciating the places and the landscapes around me.

This program is the best way to share what is important for you in your city, and can help each other with your opinions and pictures, as well as you learn more about other places in the same city or in your own country.

The Local Guides Program helps the foreign people in any country, to stay connected with the local busiest places in town they visit; they can also give their feedbacks for the future foreign visitants.

In few words, for me, to become a local guide is something special and important because I can help people with their doubts about some places giving my feedbacks or posting some photos or videos… Also I can discover some new interesting places to visit or rediscover others that I’ve already visited.

Google gave us the oportunity to join the greatest worldwide community and a wonderful way to connect people with a thing in common, tourism.
