The local guides program allows me to share the places that I have been to with anyone searching on Google Maps. I usually post photos of the places I go to eat as well as places of interest and beautiful scenery when I travel for work or leisure. Of course I also do the same in my own country Singapore whenever I discover new exciting places to eat or places to go.
I will usually leave an unbiased review of food places such as what was good or not so good, the intention being to help others. I have also received feedback from the business owner and that made my day as it lets me know that my feedback is valued and helps the businesses.
Similarly I have benefited a lot from the contributions of other local guides. Iām able to read reviews and see the photos of the restaurants, the food, places of interest and this helps me to decide where to visit. This is especially useful when I travel as I can see the photos of the places of interest and read reviews of other local guides to help me decide which are the places worth visiting, this saves me time as usually there is limited time to visit all the places of interests.
I love travelling and discovering new places. I will continue to contribute to the local guides program and also hope to meet other local guides to learn from each other.
