Hello Local Guides?
I am Ashish at local guides at level 6. There are actually many things I’ve done being a local guide,from posting photos of the places which barely has 1-2 pictures on google to editing the places.
What does local guides program mean to me?
Google Local Guides program had a good impact on me, since the last 3 years. I have a great fond of travelling,exploring and socializing with people. I’ve contributed over 180 pictures on Local Guides and gave reviews for the places I visited. Since, Google Maps is been widely today for the purpose of navigation, I’ve added made many edits to the streets or buildings which exists and in these 3 years, I have upgraded from Level-1 to Level-6.
Usually, Local Guides has encouraged me to make new friends and socialize with them and we also do some meet-ups in the city.
Recently, I’ve been to a trek to the Hampta pass with my friend whom I met on the Local Guides Connect. Even he was fond of Travelling and Trekking.
So we decided to join a trekking group and went for the trek. Google Local Guides actually helped me for making new friends, as we make the friends on Local guides Connect. After the trek, I posted these photos on the Google Maps which was the appreciated by the people and as a local Guide, I even suggested this trek to many of my friends.
Few Months after the trek, some of my trek partners visited my city and at this time I was the Guide to them.We traveled across the city and made their tour memorable.
The Local Guide has always encouraged by giving perks and Every Local Guide must follow this Quote-

Every Local Guide is a Story Teller.
