What does the Local Guides program mean to me

A couple of weeks ago I was introduced to Google local Guides program by a good friend in the tech community. Initially I was a bit hesitant as I was not sold into the idea and also I really didn’t thing considering my crazy schedule I could add that to the list of things to do. After giving it some thoughts I decided to give it a try, and i must say i was instantly hooked.

What made the experience and awesome one was because Google was showing me all the places I had been to and it was a matter of me provided my feedback and review. For almost 1 hours I was just submitting and then i realized it was not as hard as I imagined it to be, fast forward today I am a Level 5. It is rewarding to know that people make decisions based on my reviews and that brings me a lot of joy.

It feels very good to know that you are contributing to create a better world and good experiences just by sharing you candid views wherever you go. Being a local guide makes me feel like a superhero who is playing a huge role in ensuring people get value for what it’s worth. I will continue to share and in the coming weeks I am going into 360 videos to given a more immersive experience.
