Update: If you’re wondering why I’ve posted this under Achievements rather than How-Tos, it’s mainly because the profile topics are related to your reviews, and the more you write, the better the topics will reflect what you are into. In a sense, this new feature rewards those who have written many reviews (a great achievement!). Yes, it is new and rolling out so you should see them soon if you haven’t already!
This is just a fun post to find out what your tags on your Google Maps profile say about you!
The tags, if I’m not mistaken, give a snapshot of what you review the most. So, if you’re a prolific reviewer, you should see some interesting and fun tags! If you don’t see many, maybe it’s time that you sit down and write some awesome reviews! And if you’re not sure about how to write reviews, read my post below for some handy tips or ask me in the comments section:
Unsurprisingly, “cake”, “coffee” and “cafe” rank very highly but I’m surprised to see “prawn” and “steak” make an appearance!
To find your tags, head to Google Maps, click on “Your profile” and underneath your profile info, you should see some tags (Google Maps calls them “topics” so apologies that I’m using the wrong term!). Click on “More topics” to see the full list. Grab a screenshot and share them in the comments below! Did you find any surprising topics?
Apakah sudah lihat fitur baru yang ada di Google Maps kita ? Ada rincian jenis titik yang kita ulas. Misal ulas berapa restoran bakso, bebek, nasi goreng dll.
yes this is a very nice new feature, Google Maps team is continuously working to bring always better and new experiences. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Did you notice that the listed categories are somehow telling something about yourself since based on your contributions? Well seems you like shopping .
. That’s a different angle to the thing now. I haven’t just noticed but I realise that since you mentioned it. Thanks for merging the post and for the notification.
You are more than welcome @SholaIB , my pleasure .
True it is Italian @KishorMali as I use my phone in Italian , but as you say tags are self explanatory by the icon and also by some general worldwide words. Anyway in English they are in order of appearance: desserts (sweets), breakfast, wine, seafood, antipasto (starter dishes), buffet, pub, salad, pasta, tapas.
