I went to a university with a specific campus that comprises people from 44 nations. Going to the university I haven’t thought I would move to another new place, but it happened anyway; the university was starting another campus. My campus was new and was not yet available on Google Maps. I had a friend I met at school who like gaming, and he suffered the first day in finding the campus.
The building was very large, and it has different Wings. The campus was accessible only One Wing, and it was complicated to know which wing way you have to pass to reach the University? After an hour and a few minutes of finding where the entrance he finally entered the campus. I approached him and I asked him how is your first day and he told me I suffered a lot because it was not easy finding the campus (our university) on google map. That day he added the campus on Google Map. He took some photos with his phone, but it was very helpful because were used on the first time on google map as reference of our university campus. No one knows how the campus become available after a few days being approved to be added on google map, but he is a hero that lead other students for not being lost.
That day he taught me how I could join the Google local guide community and how can I be a good local guide. That is when I decided on sharing my photos and places I went to in order to be used on Google map by other people. Imagine how many international would have been lost? Strange right?
