Hello Google!

My name is Prachand Man Singh - (A Local Guide Level 6) from Kathmandu, Nepal.

My profession is in Dentistry however my passion is travelling and exploring new places and give some thrills and adventures to my life and love to share those moments with the world via Google maps which make me really alive.

Once up on a time, a granny said three things to me,

  • " We should see the entire beautiful things in this world until we’ve got the beautiful eyes."
  • " We should travel the entire countries and whole world from the sea to desert to hills to Himalayas until we’ve got strong legs." and,
  • " We should have tastes of varieties of entire delicious cuisines (Foods) until we’ve got teeth."

Those three speeches pinched my heart and changed my mind and since then, i used to travel and explore all new places that I have never been before and give some new tastes to my tongue.

My country, Nepal is geographically diverse country in the world. It has the territory above 60 meters from the sea level “Tarai” region in south to the top of the world Mt. Everest (Mt. Sagaramatha) along with eight highest mountains out of ten “Himalaya” region in the north including the massive Hilly region in the middle part of the country. It is not only geographically but also culturally diverse country too. That is why, there are numerous cultures and customs can be seen here and to be known by the whole world. For this, Google maps become the bridge to connect from the local issues to the broad world.

These are the main reasons that inspired me to travel new places, explore new things and take pictures of local places, community people, their cultures, activities, their lives and customs and I mostly love to share those moments in Google Map to let the whole world see and know them very closely through my sight.

I am very much thankful for entire Google team that had made a huge platform for people from all over the world to travel and see the whole world virtually. It has become the super natural power not only for those people who can’t afford to travel and visit but also for differently able people to see the whole world, pictures of local places, community people, their cultures, customs, cities, Mountains, Darbar squares and many more from the corner of their own room independently.

Probably, the people of the world, might not be able to see this much easily those local lives and places unless the Google Map is exist…

Dear Brittym,

This was my first post to Connect Live. At that time, I was very new to connect live and still I’m learning through all of your posts comments and so on. At the beginning of my post, I made a mistake due to lack of appropriate knowledge that I tagged location of "San Jose CA, USA " I thought as it is going to happen there instead of mine location. Later, one of a local guide pointed my mistake and suggested me to correct with my post’s exact location where it belongs to. As per his suggestion, I changed the location tag, so my question to you is, will the amendment affect my post for selection of connect live??

@KarolT Thank you very much. Yes it is really beautiful country. Please visit Nepal once as the national campaign is organizing by the government with title " Visit Nepal 2020".
