Couple days ago, I got an email from Google to congratulate me that I am now Level 10! I can never imagine that I could reach this level because there are so many points you have to get before you can jump to this level.
I have been actively contributing to Google Maps for about 6 years, raising from Level 6 to 10. This is such a great journey that’s worth sharing. I was level 9 last year.
For the past 9 months in 2026, I have actively edited roads much more than ever. Previously, I only worked on review and photos. The roads that I picked are mostly in United States where option like “Road Edit” is allowed.
Back home in Cambodia, there are so many new roads, but local guides cannot work on that option “road edit”. It was disable for some reasons.
This gives me a great sense of achievement. More than being recognized by Google and anyone, I meet my goals earlier than expected. I set goal just to see if I can do it.
Last but not least, I would like to give a shoutout to @SholaIB@MarcoDavoli who inspired me to keep “Editing Roads” to get more points and can get to Level 10 sooner. Without your supports, I can never do it. This is a steppingstone for me to reach this level. Thanks to @AdamGT who keep tracks on all records for local guides, including road editing. You guys are amazing.

This is what I call an experiential journey, we learn, grow, and become stronger through our own experiences. You are absolutely right, @Sophia_Cambodia. Now you truly know how challenging yet rewarding the journey from Level 6 to Level 10 has been for you over the last six years. Every challenge teaches us something, and every step forward makes the journey worthwhile. Keep going, your journey is an inspiration too.
