Calabar the southern part of Nigeria is known for their popular soup know as Afang Soup. It is a very rich soup eaten in most of their events/occasions. Water leaf is one of the vital leaves that is used in preparing the soup; i.e why the leaf is so much cultivated tenaciously in a very meticulous and fancy way. The pictures down was taken by me in Eburutu Military Cantonment Ikot-Ansa Calabar, Cross river Nigeria capturing the women while planting the stems of the water leaf on their fine looking beds. It is so much reverenced in Cross river state and i can boldly say they are the highest cultivators of water leaf in Nigeria.
