I wish to share one of the most Unique " Underground Coal Mine Tour" in Saoner near Nagpur which is a unique tour and first of its kind in India. Its a beautiful combination of Education, Adventure and Tourism.Christened Eco Mine tourism , is conducted by Maharastra Tourism Development Corporation in collaboration with Western Coalfields India Ltd.
The tour is open for Public on Weekdays as well as Weekends, Includes a peek into how the mine operations are carried out in Open cast mine in Gondegaon as well as underground mine at Saoner Underground mine no.1, besides spending time in Eco Park situated nearby.
One can even on their own for this tour after obtaining permission from WCL.
The Eco Park is also interesting.Here you can see real mines and even you go upto Kilometer and half beneath the Earth in the REAL COAL MINE that too on a unique man rider system.
