Walking in Eco Green Park at Tampines

The Eco Green park at Tampines is loacted in the eastern part of Singapore and is not very well know even among Singaporeans. :joy: As its name implies, everything here are very much one with nature, environmental friendly. Even the toilets too! (too bad i did not take photos of it)

Unlike most places in Singapore, over here, you will not find any road lamps nor well paved walkways. Walkways here are pretty rustic. Once you enter the park, you can almost feel yourself as one with nature while walking on the trails. Everywhere you see is very green. When the wind blows, you can hear the rustling of the grass or leaves on the trees.

The nature here is rather rich, probably due to its rustic nature. This is 1 place that may be haven for birdwatchers! I saw a number of birds flying and you can hear different birds chirpping away in the trees and the occasaional sighting of roosters and chickens. In fact, part of my trek here was led by a rooster! :joy:

Furthermore, there are a few ponds in the park. Stopping at one of them, I saw terrapins swimming. Its rather therapeutic seeing these terrapins swimming and listening to the rustling of trees whil e the breeze blew across the park.

This park is not that big, but it is definitely one park you should visit to get a unique experience that some other nature places in Singapore cannot offer.

To get here, you can get there by walking along the pavement of Pasir Ris flyover to get there or you can enter from Tampinese area. You can find the location of the park here: Tampines Eco Green - Google Maps
