Dear LGs,

Recently I have visited VGP Marine Kingdom at Injambakkam near Chennai.

This is the modern Aquarium with underwater tunnel and first of this kind in India. The length of tunnel Aquarium is 70 metres and we can enjoy unmatched underwater experience. The Walkalator is available and we can see the entire aquarium through this facility. There are 35 exhibits with big and small tanks containing both fresh and marine water species. There are five zones in the aquarium namely Rainforest, Gorge, Mangrove, Coast and Deep ocean.

There are various kinds of fishes such as Shark, String Ray are available. The entry fee is INR 500/-.

Here are some pictures taken during my visit.

Thanks a ton, my dear friend, @Saravanakanth - happy to hear that you could have visited this beautiful place.

Also the thanks goes to the beautiful photos and the narration - kindly post an ALBUM, so that we can see more photos.

Can I humbly suggest to keep 6 to 12 photos in a post (of course 1920 X 1080 Pixel Size) so that we need not take a LINK to view more.

If time permits, Kindly give few answers (when free) - Again I request you to TAG “LIKE-MINDED” LGs in your POSTS so that we get notification.

Q1. What are the timings?

Q2. Is Videography allowed?

Q3. What are the charges for Mobile, Still Camera & Video Camera? (DSLR, Video Camera, etc?)

Q4. IS Tripod Allowed?

Q5. IS drinking water, snacks, etc. are available inside?

Q6. How much time needed for a Quick View & detailed Shoot?

Q7. Flash light allowed?

Q8. Other answers for LG Group Meet ups

Thanks in advance

Hello @Saravanakanth & @TravellerG ,

I just wanted to let you know that I removed the accepted solution as it doesn’t answer any question or doesn’t solve any issue you might have.

The purpose of this feature is to help Local Guides find answers when searching on the Connect. You can take a look at: Tip: How to mark replies as solutions — “Accept as Solution” feature.

Dear friend & Moderator, @AngieYC !!!

I humbly request you to kindly hear our end too… sometimes we feel embarrassed to see such response from matured Moderators???

  1. Firstly, what you are pointing out is not concerned with me or @Saravanakanth , as we have not accepted this post as ‘solution’ (we both are in LG Connect for long time, and we are aware about this feature).

  2. Probably, you should be able to find, who has (which LG has) marked this as a “Solution” - kindly inform him.

NOTE:

In the past couple of days, I have seen many [RECAP] posts, which are marked as “Solution”; may be some of your filter is misbehaving, I feel.

  1. We have seen that, as a ritual, many Moderators mark certain LINKS, repeatedly (no matter whether the LINK can add any value or Not). I politely invite your kind attention to the LINK you have marked & request you to read it (Here) once, please. Does that post take us to anywhere?

  2. If you are serious about informing a LG as:

a. What is a Solution

b. Where to get this option

c. How to “Accept as a solution”,

d. Benefits of marking a post as Solution, etc., then kindly check this link, Here.

Such practical LINKS may be beneficial to new LGs, according to me.

Hope you will take our requests in the right spirit & reply, when time permits.

Thank you very much for your attention.

With regards

Hello @TravellerG ,

Thank you for expressing your concerns and thoughts with us. We strive everyday to do our moderation in the best way possible, and, yes, this includes educating Local Guides on the features on Connect and pointing them to articles that might be helpful to them.

When we moderate we always let people know what we did and why, so they are fully informed of our actions and what stands behind them. This includes removing solutions that were accepted, and since we remove them from a Local Guide’s post, we want them to be informed, no matter who accepted the post as a solution.

Links we share with you are just a kind reminder and a useful tip for future reference, and since your posts are visited by other people, they might educate newcomers as well.

OH… Thanks again, dear @Saravanakanth - All questions are answered in detail, great!

All my doubts are cleared; I am sure, these will help many of us who plan to visit this place.

In fact, in my next visit, I would request your kind-self to give company to me, to visit this place, once again.

Hi dear @AngieYC - sincerely appreciate your efforts to explain your stand in detail.

But, I fear whether, I will be fully happy with your kind reply, as some of my questions are not covered. I do not know, whether you will have time do it also.

Anyway, from my end, I am loyal to this platform and thankful to you all, for your great company, here.

To me, the first Para of your reply is perfect! Fully agreed (although the points are well known to us), Thanks!!!

2nd Para: Your information is welcome & thanks - but you are guiding us to a LINK, which takes us “NOWHERE”, which is paining -

Humbly request you to check it, please:

“…: Tip: How to mark replies as solutions — “Accept as Solution” feature…” I don’t think this POINT (“How to mark”) is explained anywhere.

So, we did a short post & sent it to you (Where to find the Option & how to “Accept as Solution”, which is practically important to LGs), for your comments - having dedicated time & energy, we expected some comments… its fine!

“…Links we share with you are just a kind reminder and a useful tip for future reference…” I surely appreciate that many LINKs are useful & are updated. Some are irrelevant (sorry being frank) and some are even outdated (refers to Connect Ver1). And some other LINKs / Solutions, takes us to a number of posts, which, after going through half an hour, we find we have not got what we wanted! - I am trying to bring our feelings (sometimes frustration also) to you for your kind consideration, if time your permits

Once again thanks, dear moderator.
