Hello Local Guides, it’s time to party!!! :partying_face:

Exactly 10 years ago, on July 15th, Local Guides Connect was born. It is a one-of-a-kind community—probably Google’s only truly “Social” community—created to allow Local Guides from all over the world to connect and interact with one another.

A community that, many years ago, I chose to name “The Global Village”.

As we announced back in May, @KarenVChin and I are waiting for you on Wednesday, July 15th, to virtually celebrate this incredibly special milestone together.

Given the significance of July 15th for our community, we’ve prepared a little surprise. For now, it’s a secret, but when you join us, I’m certain you won’t be able to help but be left absolutely speechless! :open_mouth:

Join us for the party!

To celebrate together on such a special day, we chose a time that accommodates as much of the planet as possible. We apologize to those who will have to get up early or stay up late to join; to give the majority of people the chance to participate, the meet-up will take place at 3:00 PM GMT.

Here is what that means for your local time:

  • San Francisco (Karen’s home!): 8:00 AM

  • New York: 11:00 AM

  • Italy: 5:00 PM

  • India: 8:30 PM

  • Tokyo: Midnight

We can’t wait to see everyone there to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Local Guides Community together!
