Hello LGs,
As I previously stated, some of the most effective local guides do not seek visibility. Yet, they are available whenever you require assistance. I call them “Community Anchors”!
Let’s celebrate the 11th anniversary year of the local guide community by recognizing these individuals by giving them the front seat! For those unfamiliar with the concept, please read this detailed post to learn why this series of meet-ups is taking place.
Thanks for your unbelievable support on the last meet-up, the first of the series with @Shrut19. Given the nominations received from all of you, it has given me the confidence to move forward and name another hidden gem of our community, the Ghumakkad, the ten times challenge winner, Connect Live 25 attendee and Connect Live 26 invitee, and a passionate road-mapper, @kumaarsantosh, a “Community Anchor.”
He has always taken a “Community First” stance, and hence, he is one of the reasons I was inspired to use this tag.
This community has been subtly shaped over the years by a few individuals like Santosh, who have always welcomed newcomers, engaged in calm conversations, and shown up when no one asked them to. Most of us have benefited from his posts on the Connect portal, such as 42+ posts on the topic like “How To." Don’t forget the Ghumakkad Gossip series is entering its second year with already three episodes covered. A purely thankless job. Many will second my words that it has given us a lot of knowledge and resolutions.
So I have decided to get him on the speaker’s chair and just have a simple conversation with him.
No keynotes, just chitchat.
We’ll pause and listen to him as a guest, I believe, for the first time. ![]()
If the community is important to you, remember the date and time, and be there:
Date: April 04, 2026, Saturday
Time: 7 PM IST onwards
My co-host for this meet-up is @rohan10, who will assist me in moderating the event.
Note that the virtual link will be shared 12 hours before the meeting. So, please mark it on your calendar right away.
To help me further, here is what you can do:
- Share a testimonial in few words about the speaker. It will be displayed in the presentation during the meet-up with his/her permission.
- Share your “questions and/or suggestions” here. I will try to accommodate it in the interview.
- Also, for the next meet-up/episode, nominate one such individual who, in your opinion, worked quietly and without expectations; we ought to refer to them as COMMUNITY ANCHORS of our community.
Disclaimer: All the information collected will be used solely for the purpose of the meet-ups.
Cheers!
