As a local guide I like to share bars and restaurants with nice views, let people know where the best vegetarian food is and give accessibility tips.
I’ve been vegetarian since I was 13 and I’m a sucker for nice views, so that’s been the theme of most of my reviews, since Google maps made it possible to review, but I’ve added a new focus lately.
I broke my ankle in December, so you may notice a lack of recent activity on my account because I haven’t been out much…
Anyway, braking my ankle opened up my eyes to how bad the accessibility is in some places. Even those that are wheelchair accessible, don’t think about those who have mobility issues, but are not wheelchair bound, in a lot of cases. Sometimes you have to walk way further than the able bodied people to use the lift instead of stairs, for example. And there’s never anywhere to sit while queueing.
One of my favourite bars in London is the TattetTatt Castle. It has great views of the Thames, and many London landmarks, and offers a great vegan chilli, but there is no step free access ?.
