Views, Points, or Emails - What Motivates You as a Local Guide?

Emails like these from Google motivate me every day to contribute more and improve the map.

It all started when I was in another city. I went to a restaurant using Google Maps and found out it had been permanently closed for months. That’s when I decided to become a Local Guide to help improve Google Maps for everyone around me.

Now, every email like this reminds me that my contributions matter.

What keeps you motivated as a Local Guide? Is it the views, the points, the reacts or the emails?
