@tony_b That’s a solid set of numbers! The only correlation I can think of is that your photos wouldn’t have a place to attach to had you not added the place! But, all of the people who post pictures there have you to thank for it.
Yes, my neighbor @JustJake .
Now, I’m seeing it on my phone.

Hey @JustJake
Thanks for bringing it up for everyone to learn about it.
I got an email about the views from editing a few years ago, right after I started editing places. It told me that my last 9000 edits had over 30.000.000 views and I’ve been waiting for an email like that ever since (Now with 26k edits and 8,5k roads). I won’t be able to scroll down to the old edits/roads because there are just so many and it makes my PC lag while going deeper down the list.
I submitted feedback right from the maps app about making the edit tab more user friendly but never got a reply. I think it would be great if we got to sort edits for instance by the number of views. But I have no idea if it’s in the works.
@Lukas_1 Prior to seeing this update, those emails were the only way I knew edits made any difference. With the number of edits you’ve made, I’d expect exponentially higher numbers each time Maps gives you an email update!
VERY nice find , @JustJake - this helps so much in terms of high level transparency on our edits and removes the wait of those confirmation emails.
@MortenCopenhagen Its been here for at least for 4 months in Android maps. That’s when I noticed it.
Sure, I can confirm that the new design of the edit list also reached my app a few months back.
Cheers
Morten
This has been in limited roll out for a while @JustJake great to see it growing to more of the community. It is a great feature.

@PaulPavlinovich I guess I am just late to the party! It sure seems that us beta-testers are always the last to know ![]()
It varies a lot @JustJake features are tried all over the world in A/B tests to see what people like and do not like. Lots of them don’t even make it out of the gate.
If you’re in actual beta remember your NDA unless you’re in public beta then enjoy the early experience.

@PaulPavlinovich I can neither confirm nor deny this. Big G is always watching…
Either way, as I posted in the recent Ask a Googler for Kristen, I really hope that Connect becomes a place where LGs are provided info about these new and upcoming updates on a more regular basis. It’s exciting when we find them as a community and share the news, but, LGC should be a place for us to learn from the source.
Congratulations @JustJake , I could relate with your post! This small edits hold a BIG Impact which we don’t even realise initially.
Thank you @bansalanjali . I couldn’t agree more. My hope is that the little bit of time we dedicate to this hobby can have a positive impact on a business or for users.
This is a source of news that is for sure @JustJake but also keep an eye on The Keyword https://blog.google/ where lots of interesting things get divulged.
Paul
Is there any way or section in the Google Map app where we can find the total views of all the edits that I have successfully submitted so far?
Hi @DibyayanC
Great question.
No, the only time we get information on this metric is when the monthly status e-mails from Google Maps will include this number. It is unfortunately no shared regularly.
I would love to have this number included in the contribution stats.
Thanks for asking
Morten
