what should be done if an owner starts a vicious attack on me and family members for a review i made on google maps? has any of you google guides experience this situation ?

While a review is honest and objective, following the indication on Write reviews and add ratings of places, and of Maps User Contributed Content Policy there is no reason to be worried

BTW, It seems the business owner know you personally. In this case you can report him to the Carabinieri, if the pressure is going over the limit

As @ErmesT kindly mentioned, as long as Local Guides individuals follow the regarded guidelines, should that escalate further, please do make sure to take measures.

thank you for your reply. hopefully she stops harassing … i took down my review and all the photos which actually had more views that the old posts that have been done to the business and her arrogant reply to me would have also cause her more harm than good because people would read it. It’s just sad that if you cant take suggestions to make your clients more happy then they should just turn off their page from having Google guides like me who do not give 5 stars always to businesses bec. there is always room for improvement. by the way i gave 3 stars plus pointed out also good areas but she took offense on my suggestions.

i often put a big trust on google guides and if they say something is good then i would often rely on that … so with me too when i do my review i try to help the people reading to be able to have an idea of what they will eat or see in that specific business. :pensive:… sad to say with my 3 yrs of giving suggestions this one was really vicious. the others owners have even become my friends because they opened up and saw my comments as constructive and that my intention was to help and not put anybody to shame.
