All of these are so cute, thank you for sharing them! I love how there are different topics, it makes me think that if I lived in Japan I would run an Instagram or Blog dedicated to trying new Bento boxes.
I’m curious, what is your favorite bento? What about you, @YasumiKikuchi ?
Hello @Jesi
I hope to eat this Protected Cat Bento someday. What I would like to recommend the most is “鶏めし Tori Meshi (Japanese style Chicken Rice)” in Akita. It is a bento of rice cooked with chicken soup. It is popular among Japanese people that the rice cooked with soup is "炊き込みごはん Takikomi rice"
I love bento boxes and yours are very cute indeed. Isn’t it nice when you have a home-cooked meal and you know every ingredient in your dish? What do you usually have for lunch at work or outside the house? Can you share a recipe?
Recently, I got the idea that I want to buy an aluminium box. Not only I like the design but it’s eco friendly.
Thank you for your interest. I really sympathize with your idea, cooking by myself is healthy, eco-friendly and can save money As you can imagine, I make Bento for lunch and eat it every day. I’ll share it a little bit.
Basically, considering nutrition, it has the following composition:
Carbohydrates (Mostly rice. sometimes pasta. There is no bread.)
Protein (fish or meat. Egg is every day)
Vitamins (Vegetables: Broccoli, carrot and tomato)
There is no recipe especially. Cook the meat and fish. Defrost the rice in the microwave. Microwave the vegetables. Eggs are prepared on Sundays (Boiled egg or thick omelet). I make this every day, so I make it as easy as possible. It tooks 5-10 minutes.
Also, I think this bento is typical Japanese (Please advise other Japanese people).
How about you? Please share us if you have something
