20 million kg trash was collected from this beach. World largest clean up drive once took place at Versova beach. One of the oldest beaches of town, it is native to the Koli community of Mumbai. This was one of the beautiful beaches in Mumbai, due to plastic pollution huge amount of trash almost a foot was all over the beach. But after the massive clean up drive which ran for almost 2 years gave back the beaches identity. Now, it is one of the beautiful beaches and it’s a tourist attraction. Versova beach has a long strech and the best time to visit is during the sunset. Also, you can find water sports activities and horse riding at the beach.
