This tasty sauce, is made from chopped fluted pumpkin, tomatoes, as the main items. Eat with white rice, boiled or fried yam, fried plantain or even mashed or fried potatoes.
How to make Nigerian Vegetable Sauce.
Nigerian vegetable sauce is very rich in vitamins and nutrients. So there is no reason why you shouldn’t be cooking this recipe as soon as possible.
I promise you’ll not want to eat Nigerian red stew ever again after this vegetable sauce.
Ingredients and Items
- 4 cups of sliced fresh tomatoes
- Sliced fresh pepper
- I cup of sliced onions
- 3 seasoning cubes
- One big bowl of sliced fluted pumpkin
- 250ml of vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Curry and thyme
Procedure
wash and slice the tomatoes, use really fresh tomatoes, also slice the pepper, onions and set them aside in a plate.
Wash the fluted pumpkin and slice to tiny bit, this is usually done by the sellers if you patronize Nigerian local farmer’s market, it is best to properly wash the leaves before you slice it.
Set your cooking pot on heat, add 250ml of vegetable oil, allow to heat before adding the sliced tomatoes, onions and pepper, allow to fry and fry for the next 10-15 minutes, remember to stir occasionally to avoid burning.
Add the leaves (vegetables) occasionally, stir properly, add seasoning and taste for salt.
