We all know that Vegan restaurants are not cheap. But here I selected the ones i like most in my city, Rio, that is growing in the Vegan gastronomic scene.
1- Bardana
It’s a vegan buffet (you pay for the kilo) in Downtown, near to the Santa Luzia´s Church. There you find great variety of salads, with Brazilian ingredients, and wonderful desserts, most of them vegan.
2- Barletta Massas
It´s my new addiction! It’s the first vegan bakery in Rio, perfect for snack time, It has buergers and notdogs that are just amazing and very cheap (R$10). It has also brioches, cakes…
3- Hareburger
It’s a company that you can find in some malls and streets, that sells vegetarian food.
4 - Reino Vegetal
It’s a vegan buffet near to Uruguaiana metro station, situaded in a historical building. It has delicous salads, juices and desserts for a great price.
5- Vida Gourmet
I love this restaurant in Laranjeiras. It sells organic and vegan food, all typically Brazilian. There you can have a complete meal in a good ambient atmosphere with music.
