Zanimljivo…
Nadam se da i vama zvuči zanimljivo.
Pozdrav, Renata
Really interesting… dear friend @renata1
Thank uniform of the guard’s looks colourful and beautiful…
Guard changing is a ceremony? For tourists?
Thanks
Regards
Thank you for sharing this fascinating piece of Varaždin’s history! The Varaždin Citizen Guard, or “Purgari”, sounds like a wonderful blend of tradition, heritage, and civic pride. It’s impressive that they’ve been recognized as intangible cultural heritage — and even more special that they were the first military unit in Croatia to receive that honor. The Saturday guard change and cannon fire must be quite the experience for visitors. Have you ever witnessed it yourself? If yes, what was your favorite part of the ceremony?
What a vibrant and culturally rich experience!
The ceremonial uniforms, the spirit of tradition, and the architecture all come together beautifully in your post. Varaždin clearly knows how to honor its heritage. Thank you for sharing this unique glimpse — it truly inspires me to add Varaždin to my travel list!
