Varanasi : City of temples

Varanasi

City of temples

Recently i visited varanasi, the Home of God shiva which is 250 km away . West of Patna , me and my friend decided to go to this ancient and historical city . This city is always in the center of attraction also because this is the constituency of the prime minister of India .My traveling by train journey began from patna to varanasi at night .

We reach in Morning in varanasi junction , and take a rickshaw for Godowlia which is very near to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple ji , which is one of the most important Jyotirlinga (source Wiki. ) in hindu Culture .

Now in varanasi our search began for a hotel which will facilitate our stay in this city , we found The White House - Hotel near Kashi Vishwanath temple which facilitated us but i will not recommend it to you , why ? Just check my Review and you can find a better Hotel at this price .So after we arrived from the hotel to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple there were too much heat waves but still we went there for the blessing of god shiva.

Photo 2 : Train coach Indian Railway standing on patna junction

Note : This journey is a part of Traveling by Train.I prefer train travel because it is a sustainable means of transport .

Photo 3 : of Square, Entry Gate 2 and varanasi junction .

#photo 4 : of main gate Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple varanasi

This is the main Gate of All entry gates of shri Kashi Vishwanath ji temple from visitor can visit shrine , Mobile phone and camera are strictly prohibited , so i suggest you before going inside the shrine put your phone in hotel or you can give to local flower vendor they provide you locker to keep your phone safe . So I followed the second one where we purchased an offering for God shiva and put our phone in a locker . This is a safe and secure way to keep your phone . Then we entered the temple from narrow streets .

There was a big line up to 500 or more people waiting for the blessing and darshan of God shiva inside the temple , so many visitors from south india and foreigners are there to take blessings of god shiva . standing in line is boring part or not possible for accessible people :wheelchair: , so i request them their are special ticket and arrangement for accessible people , old person and pregnant women , so they not find difficulty to stand in lines . Temple was very neat and clean with an energetic atmosphere , photos inside the temple are strictly prohibited .

So I’m adding a photo from Map to give a clearer view of the temple .

#Photo 5 : screenshot of map Temple Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple upper view

We are lucky so we got chance to touch shivling inside shrine , after touching Shivling i feel enormous energy and feeling like never before , trust me you too can feel after touching shivling in varanasi , some positive energy is working there and your mind will free from all misery of world , this darshana was very auspicious and spiritual .inside the temple there were so may temple of other gods , like Maa Durga , Lord Ganesha , God kartik , God vishnu , or may more deity inside the premises , The environment of temple was very good and security was so high and proper facilitation of water , toilet and cleanliness was there . temple staffs are busy in clearing or removing wastage of puja samagri that was used inside the temple .

After having visit the temple, my friend and I decided to go to Ghat which is very famous in varanasi for their tourist attraction .

Dashashwamedh Ghat is very near to this temple and the place where visitors and tourist visit this place , this is also important because in evening every day ganga aarti happen daily without any discontinuity , we moved toward this place what we found here is selfie or photo point :

#Photo 6 : selfie point or visitor attraction point .

Visitors come and take photos at this place. I found some are capturing selfies or some are making blogs but everyone tries to capture this place with their phone or camera.

#photo 7 of : Ghat , boat and visitors in varanasi .

#photo 8 of : Boat , Naga sadhu and boat station .

This place was also spiritual and giving energetic atmosphere with boat riding facility , you will find so many boats for riding in river The Ganga. Sailman even told you the story of all the ghat that belong to whom ?. This is a place where you can find everything spiritual , religious and man-made. I do not give advice to these place for accessible person here because of the large and big stairs. It’s very difficult to move a wheelchair on these ghats.

#photo 9 of : Guest house and Local guide Ravi in varanasi .

Due to the phone Battery being discharged, we Decided to go back to the hotel and come again to Visit this place again. So we return to the Hotel and take some food and rest .

So it’s around 8 pm we reach to Dashashwamedh Ghat again to see this wonderful place .

#Photo10 of: Dashashwamedh ghat varanasi

At night people and visitors are sitting together and listening to the story of God shiva , so many visitors are also recording it on their phones and camera but some are very serious and curious to know about hindu culture or religion.

Photo12 of : Gangotri seva samiti , selfie point ,or temple .

#Photo13 of : Painted boat written slogan to clean river Maa Ganga

#photo14 : of a boat beside ganga ghat in varanasi .

This place was full of Boats and offering visitors to take ride inside boat through river . In ancient time may be these boats use to transportation and for carrying army personal from one place to another , History provide some clues that these boats used in war with nearly princely states but now time has changed and way of transportation also , so boat maker and sellers also change their livelihood by making these boats for tourist , now they are making boat for tourist and give them to seller and both are getting profited through this way.

#photo 15 of : Rana mahal Ghat

On the bank of river The Ganga you will find so may ghat near it on the name of king or some famous personality , This consists mahal of that king besides river Ganga , you find may palace with old and ancient style ,some of them i capture in my phone but not at all because numbers are quite big , so i am just sharing one or two with you .

#photo 16 : of Rani Ahilyabai Ghat

#photo 17 of : Darbhanga Ghat in varanasi beside river ganga .

After visiting this Ghat we decided to go for local food what is famous here so locals suggested about lassi and paan so i tried it , it was very delicious and fit for that song “khaike paan banaraswala khul jaaye band akal ka tala :closed_lock_with_key: ” .

Photo 18 : photo of paan and lassi

After this we are getting late for train we booked for patna so we move toward varanasi junction , This journey was not simple and easy but thanks to God shiva and those who Help me in this sacred journey of varanasi , still varanasi is developing and tourist from all over the world is coming to this place , this place is somewhat like give you salvation , so many people came here from all over to india here for attending highest spiritual attending from this city , in Hindu culture we believe those who take last breath here never came to earth and free from life and death by attaining highest level of samadhi that is salvation .

I advise you to visit this city at least once in your life to feel the power of spirituality and for the blessing of God shiva .

Highly appreciate your efforts, dear @RaviSharma111

My suggestion will be to keep the post more comprehensive - of course your article is very informative.

The photos are impressive and also contextual.

If you do a “Google Search”, the city of temples is Bhubaneswar in India and Kumbakonam in South India - just for your kind information.

Thank you very much for tagging me in your valuable post.

I have glanced through your video also and commented.

Best wishes.
