Vancouver Mural Festival - a Tribute to Street Art

If you’re lucky to be in Vancouver, BC in August, make sure you take a good camera with you as you won’t have one day without stunning views.

If you’re wondering where to go, I’d suggest you to take a look at this personal microblog of a Vancouverite, you’ll find great recommendations based on his own experiences.

It’s usually during the first weekend of August. I don’t know about you but, for me, street art is the best representation of a local culture. I have to say: I haven’t been disappointed by Vancouver’s culture.

Take a look at these few shots I took:

Every year, the mural festival is amazing ! They close down the streets so people can walk around and enjoy the art. They cover whole buildings, I love it !

Thanks for sharing that microblog, it’s very interesting to read the personal stories from someone who lives there

@_louste Incredible artwork indeed! I remember in the South of France, there were so many amazing walls I couldn’t believe it.

They were more like paintings that anything else. This one is definitely one of my favorites.
