I love to travel Goa to enjoy the Sea and Goan Cuisines. It’s my favourite destination as I enjoyed my complete locked down period from 21st March 2020 to 31st May. During this pandemic I spent two evenings at Vagator Beach which is also known as Big Vagator. It’s located in North Goa about 3 kms away from Anjuna.
Vagator Beach is a popular and prominent beach having noticeable red soil and rocky hills in the backdrop. Famous Chapora fort is located on a hill looking down to Vagator. It’s a wonderful Sea Shore and it’s having a bow shape or Crescent shape stretch of almost white sand. Modestly crowded, it’s a perfect place of North Goa to discover Goa’s unspoilt beauty. It’s very popular for night life as dance parties are organized by the groups and at the beach shakes located here. It was hosting the Asia’s largest Music Festival and now shifted to Pune. Near Christmas and New Year Curly parties are major attraction among the dance and music lovers. Once it was referred as Disco Valley.
The waves of the Arabian Sea are filled with fun and those who enjoy bathing, are well aware of their behavior. It has gentle slope but never have a Sea bath close to the rocks. Life guards are always attentive and they mark the safe Zone by putting the flags. It’s a popular place for recreational activities and picnics. Though I love to watch the magical Sunset from the top of hill.
It’s a major attraction among the tourists of all tastes and especially among the Beach Bums, Nature lovers etc.
