Uzbekistan won the first place in the competition National Geographic Traveler Awards 2018 in the nomination “Gastronomic tourism”.

This prestigious international award was established by the Russian application of the famous National Geographic magazine. This year, the best were selected in 25 nominations. Voting took place on the website of the magazine. Receiving the National Geographic Traveler award is considered extremely prestigious in the world of international tourism.

Uzbekistan scored 34% of the votes, Italy - 21%, Azerbaijan - 17%, France - 13%, Armenia - 7%, South Korea - 5%, Sweden - 3%.

“The freshest lamb, rice, oils, spices - all the luxury of the east is mixed in a giant cauldron to become fragrant pilaf. as the authors of the magazine describe the culinary delights of Uzbekistan.
