It has always been a wonderful experience how Google facilitates learning among young children. In the post COVID pandemic era, as everything about teaching and learning becomes online, how much is possible with this is the right thing to explore. If there can be a discussion among academics and those who can contribute to this the level of learning and teaching will grow in leaps and bounds.
Please specify what pictures and videos you wish to use. Maybe you could share links to a few examples.
Also, are you hoping to republish in new educational materials or just show and share with your own class?
Cheers

Hello @MortenCopenhagen ,
Its nice that you noted and commented on my very first post. Its just a starter for a detailed discussion from which we can form a clearcut strategy for teaching and learning. At present, I don’t have anything particular to share as puctures or videos in this context. But surely, I am much interested to use Google resources as an aid in the classrooms. Kindly suggest how we can go further if you have some ideas.
Warm regards,
Mani
I’m not very hopeful, @Manithebluepearl .
You have posted this on Connect so am I correct if I assume that your are suggesting teachers should be allowed to use photos posted on Google Maps by Local Guides and other Maps users?
Or maybe you are referring to the use of My Maps as an educational resource? Or are you referring to some of the sattelite and arial photos?
As a local guide you can ask your self if you think Google should make a dent in your copyrights on photos you uploade to Google Maps.
All the best
Morten
@Manithebluepearl If my understanding is correct, you’re trying to use Google as a way to teach and learn students. I think that’s a very good purpose. However, I’m not sure if it’s related to Google Maps or Local Guides (hopefully I’m not misinterpreting your statement)
You may want to explore Google for Education, as it might be more in line with what you’re trying to accomplish.
To create a virtual tour to a place in history i e. Stonehenge or Canterbury Church to lift the imagination and increase the knowledge about a place and its features in this post COVID classroom, its really a satisfying experience for a teacher whether they are subject teachers or language teachers, Google maps, pics and videos can facilitate a lot. In such a way, teachers has to transform their classes and the mind of their children. Kindling fire to explore the world and its forgotten legacy, love for mankind and creating a cosmopolitan outlook in young minds of children. What a superb work if one can achieve that!!!Enriching the tender minds of young children leaves evergreen memories for the work done as a Teacher.
Thanks for the reply. As I am new to much of what Google offers, hope I will get clarity and confidence in what I really want to do for the teaching and learning promotion through Google. Let me explore more of it with patience. Thanks once again @ iyudhi
