Hi. I’m starting to pay attention to the users photos section, and I’ve found there are a lot of photos with underage children in them. This is kind of OK if the photo was taken by one of their parents, and besides this is often an assumption, there are plenty of photos with childrens in the background, and others with a bunch of friends that probably was not intended to be posted on maps.
So, I’m wondering if I can flag them or not.
So far I’m thinking of flagging:
Photos with a child in the background that is obviously not intended to be in the photograph.
Photos of children that are not showing anything related to the place.
But there are plenty of gray situations, for example, a photo of the McDonald’s children space, that is obviously showing the place, but it is full of children.
Thank you for reaching out and expressing your concerns. You can take a look at the Privacy topic in the Maps User Contributed Content Policy Help. I think it is stated very clearly which photos are allowed and whether you should include people without their permission.
By the way, I relabeled your post to How-tos as it fits better there.
@druellan , in the links that you’ve shared here (as long as they are relevant to the place) the photos don’t violate any rules thus you shouldn’t flag them. The faces are hardly recognizable.
