I am trying to add videos to Maps and it will tell me when I approved I will get the 7 points added, but the videos never appear on my reviews. I have looked from my computer and phone and can’t find a place where I can directly upload a video to my review, only photos. On my phone it gives me the option to upload to Maps, select my location and post. I do not understand why they are not posting and I am not getting credit or showing I have added more videos. Anyone know what the problem might be or can you tell me how to directly upload them on the business/location page on Google maps?
Videos can be added only via the Maps app, not desktop Maps. So, you can only use your phone.
Recorded videos are uploaded the same way you would upload a photo. As you have done, because you have got confirmation of the upload.
To check if you have uploaded it correctly, you can go to Your Contributions under the menu and look for it. You should see it there. You may need to scroll down a little.
You are right that when you see your review in a location, only photos are seen, (The last I checked). To see the videos with your review, you will need to share the review, and look at the link of the shared review. Can you try this and see if it works for you?
Sometimes contributions (photos, videos and reviews) that don’t meet the Maps user contributed content policies are marked private, and are not publicly visible.
Regarding the video count in your contributions, sometimes the count takes time to update because it’s a batch process. Same with points. If it hasn’t got updated, and you can see it in your contributions, then it will need a bit of time to update.

I am facing the issue of videos uploading now. At previous, it was going all sound but now it is not showing any progress status while uploading videos and neither it counts in videos contribution nor it shows point gain. So far, photos uploading are going fine.
I would really appreciate if you kindly assist with your experience.
