UPDATED: Known issue: Unpublished reviews and photos on Google Maps

Hello,

allot of my reviews are hidden, and i can’t even see which and why, i do food reviews and put pictures with food so maybe it is because of this issue?
I have even reviews that the owner responded to thank me, posted 2 months ago and now my reviews is hidden.

Good Afternoon Suka, I think there is definitely a time lag between posting items and when they appear on the site.

I posted some photos 24 hours ago and l have not seen them on the site.

yes, but most of my content with problems is older, like the example with the review from 2 months ago that was public and now it isn’t.

I have even older review, from years ago and it is not visible anymore.
I have experienced in the past lag between 24 and 48 hours for content to be indexed ok, but this is just allot of my content actually hidden.

I found out by trying to share a review with a friend to show a new restaurant i found, and the i checked my reviews and found allot are hidden publicly.

I’ve posted today another review, this time of a local cinema.

Like others, my review has been automatically censored.

I don’t expect the text below violates anything.

What do you reckon, @MortenCopenhagen ? Do you think my review contains a genuine experience?

Uncomfortable seats and poor quality control make for a subpar cinematic experience.

Be prepared for at least one audience member to use their phone throughout the film. Don’t count on Odeon staff to show up. I’ve never seen them attend the auditorium to maintain cinema etiquette.

Screening wise, the projections are normally low fidelity. There’s a lot of blur and unrefined detail. This is especially bad when trying to enjoy visual experiences like Dune.

Some screens have technical issues like light bleed-through. Quality control is not a priority here.

It’s not the worst cinema in London. But it’s definitely below average.

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me. None of my Google maps reviews or ratings are showing up anymore. Is this a ban for some reason? How can I fix this, it has been a couple of months now. I just tested and I was able to leave a 5 star rating and it showed up, but it’s weird Google is stopping me from leaving 1 or 2 star ratings… Why is Google forcing good ratings for establishments? I tried to leave a 1 star rating for Mark Boshwick Golf Club in Gainesville Florida, you won’t see my review if you sort by newest, but if you search for A1A Burrito Works, A1A Beach Boulevard, St. Augustine, FL you will see my 5 star rating I just posted… super sketchy. I understand if they violate community guidelines for reviews sure, but why are ratings blocked? These don’t violate anything, and Google only block low ratings? I would like my account to be investigated as I saw some of my reviews & ratings being posted but I checked today and there’s still a bunch missing.

Now my review is still not visible for public, I only became one day after your answer, an email with this text: "Thank you for your contribution. Your new review is a real asset to the Google Maps community. Such contributions allow other users to decide which activities are worthwhile and which places they would like to see more easily.

Can you please forward this new information again to the responsible team, so that they fix this problem and the review goes finally public? It would mean a lot for me. Thank you!

I keep adding new reviews from recent places, but unfortunately all the recent (last 2 weeks) are all still private (~50 ish or so and counting…).
