Thank you @Vachintha . I would have to agree that all your reviews are being hidden if you’ve had that many without a single one showing up.

Google receives thousands of reviews a day. In order to filter the inevitable spam at such a large scale, automated filters are applied to each review. These filters manage to eliminate most objectionable content and allow through most serious reviews; but as it is automated and done at such a large scale there will be some false positives.

Reviews are normally hidden from public view individually. If it has progressed to all reviews being automatically hidden then multiple offenses were detected. As we are users ourselves, we do not have direct access to your account or reviews to begin to guess what reviews were deemed inappropriate. We also cannot tell you exactly what is wrong with each review; Google keeps the exact details of it’s algorithms private so that there is no roadmap for spammers. What we can do is point you to the Maps User Contributed Content Policy.

The one option you have to see if this was a mistake by the algorithms is to use the appeal form found here.

Thank you @Flash for your support. I have not violated any of the Google policies to the best of my knowledge. Therefore I used the link shared by you and contacted the Google Maps support team. Hope they will respond to me with a solution. Thank you once again.

In response to my Local Guides Appeal, I received an email from Google saying that my account does not violates any policies (please refer to the below screenshot of the email received). However still my reviews are not appearing publicly. I will wait for another few days and recheck. If there’s anything else I should do, please be kind enough to let me know. I have published many reviews and lately I am not able to see all of them in my “REVIEW” tab. However, if I go to the particular place/restaurant, I can see my review and even still. It is just not showing on my own “REVIEW” tab. Am also not able to edit any of my old reviews nor able to delete or take any actions on it, plus am not even able to post any new review. I have attached below the error i get. Ant the review tab is just not available anymore on my profile.
Its been a week not i have sent feedback twice for the same please help me with this.

Most likely the reviews are made private by Google Maps.

@MortenCopenhagen or possibly @C_T can give you more insights.

Meanwhile, please edit your post and include the screenshot that you mention.

Most of your reviews are publicly visible, @Siddhi_7 , to check just open this link in incognito mode.

So it is probably a glitch in your device or in your profile.

Please do the following steps

  • Make sure to have the last version of Google Maps App installed
  • Logout from your account
  • Login again

This should force the database to reload.

If it doesn’t work please let us know by responding in this post

Looks like the review is suddenly gone again. My solution no longer fixes it.

I had posted this a few days ago and thought I found a solution, however, it seems the review is suddenly gone again.

Does anyone know why reviews randomly disappear after editing them sometimes?

Thank you for your response i did checked with the steps mentioned however its still the same. I tried to uninstall the app and reinstall it back and followed the steps you mentioned but its still the same. The option so view review is just not visible. And when i try to post it keeps giving me the message in the screen shot below. @ErmesT @TusharSuradkar

I also see this message often when publishing reviews.

Though I am successful in posting a review after some time.

Your reviews and photos so far are perfect, in the sense, there are no repeatitive or duplicate photos and the review language and tone are positive and helpful.

I am no expert in Google Maps matters, though can you check your profile from another device like a desktop computer or another mobile device?

Something is strange here.

We have seen that certain contribution lists fail to load, but it is more often the edits and only for LGs with 10s of thousands of contributions.

I see you have made 22 reviews and all but one is public.

Why does one screenshot say Google Maps Support, are you seeking help in different fora at the same time? If so please share the link.

When a new review fails to upload that is not necessarily related to your initial complaint but could be due to random connection problems.

Please confirm the issue is still there and let us know if it remains when you change the device and the platform.

Since we cannot see your reviews because they are set as private, we cannot judge what the reason can be in your case. Consider that when contributions are determined to be in violation of our Content policies, they can be removed and that is preventing them from being visible.

Have you already assessed your review according to what you can read in the following page, to make sure the contribution complies with the guidelines? Prohibited and Restricted Content.

Please be informed that I relocated your post from the unrelated conversation, creating a new thread and adding the Japanese language tag. I did that in order to make your query more visible while keeping Connect more organized.

Hello Everyone!

I have a strange issue. Ages ago I reviewed a place. I wanted to go back and change my review so went to “Edit your review” on my Android Google Maps app. Started typing but didn’t finish and closed the app. So I guess the edit didn’t save and the draft didn’t save either which is fine. But now my old review completely disappeared from the place (I scrolled through them all just in case on both app and desktop) and now I have a button to “Write a review”. But when I write it and click “Post” I get “An error occurred. Please try again later”.

Tried it for weeks and always with the same result. Tried desktop (Google Chrome) and the app as well - no luck.

I went to leave a test review of the same place using another Google account and that worked fine. So the issue is with my account.

I went to Google Maps → Your Contributions → Reviews and the list is blank even though I’m a level 5 local guide and left lots of reviews.

So now I have two issues - can’t review one particular place and all my reviews disappeared from “Your Contributions” section (even though they do exist in the reviewed places themselves).

Any ideas what I can do next?

I just checked your Google Maps profile and can see you have 32 reviews and 8 photos. Does that sound correct to you?

I can also see your contributions listed:

However, I note that there is no photo and Local Guide badge. Can you see your contributions as in the last screenshot above?

I also checked your maps profile, @JavaDaHat .

I see all your reviews, photos, and points okay. You are not suspended. And none of your reviews are hidden.

My conclusion would be to check if you are logged in to the same account on your phone. Next, clear the data and you might even need to log out and then in again. Or perhaps reinstall is what is needed.

Try this.
