Thank you for taking time to elaborate my reviews.
However sir please let you know about the reviews you mentioned.
No1: Netaji’s Bhavan: It’s basically a museum for a great freedom fighter. And my pictures captured the things in there. So you can’t say these are copied.
No 2: Night photo issue: Yes you are right that taking pictures at night to have bad impact on pictures and pictures will not be clearly invisible.
No 3: Yea you have given a great suggestion that sometimes lengthy reviews are taken as spam.
It’s true my 13 reviews out of 314 reviews are hidden. These reviews were detailed about the restaurants I had visited. I was promised to get the Service abiding covid protocols but were not given. That’s why restaurants owners requested google to take down the reviews.
Actually it’s very hard in India to write the truth about any business
Even I would like to ask you why my Netaji’s bhavan review was not published? I have even tried to update the reviews without pic. Still review wasn’t updated.
Anyway thank you very much for your analysis about my reviews.
So I did the reviews review where you copy and paste your reviews from your logged-in profile, and then copy and paste from a private browser and it looks like this harmless review was hidden. Can someone tell me what I did wrong? Thanks in advance!
According to the Solution in this post (A review I wrote seems to be hidden from the public. I see it when logged in. ), "…Google uses automated spam detection measures to remove reviews that are probably spam. Although legitimate reviews are sometimes inappropriately removed, these spam prevention measures help improve people’s experiences on Google by ensuring that the reviews they see are authentic, relevant, and useful. "
Maybe it’s just an unfortunate event. Feel sorry for that.
Are you asking why your review of 18bin is not public.
I can confirm from your public profile that you have added 52 reviews and only45 of them are public.
Google has automatic filters as mentioned by @iorikun301 They hide your reviews so only you can see them. This can happen when some of your reviews violate the guidelines, includin Prohibited and Restricted Content Format Specific Criteria (See under Text Reviews and Captions)
Read about typical review guideline violations here.
If you want to identify which of your reviews are hidden please see this post.
It is not possible to point out exactly why a particular review is still hidden. But you are on the right track to find out by continuing removing sections of your text that might trigger the spam filter. Keep going until it goes public.
I suggest you think like a Maps User when taking photos. At the museum you shared close up pics of details from the exhibition. Always try to get a good shot of the entrance to the place so people arriving for the first time will know what to look for.
Photos of photos can be a violation of the original photographers copyright.
It is correct that business owners can flag our reviews. But considering how you phrase you reviews using not very polite language I think it is more likely that the spam filter took them down.
One idea would be for you to be more strategic when writing negative reviews. If you want the owner to react constructively and listen to you then try to always also start with something positive. I sense that you in some reviews are just letting steam out. Be more fair and polite and kind. Don’t just critizise also suggest how improvements could easily be made. Try to help the owner rather than trying to kill his business.
Please don’t take this personal. This is something we are all struggling with.
I wrote about common review violations here. It might be interesting for you.
I was actually just in the process of scrubbing everything and just got done. I didn’t even know that Google hid reviews! How long does it take Google to read the review again and re-post it? Like should I wait a few days to check and see if my edits worked, or can I check again in an hour?
hey @MortenCopenhagen this got me thinking so I figured I’d ask. Are there certain words or phrases that automatically trigger the spam filter? For instance, in a few of my reviews, I mention “trash” as in like dirty and whatnot. How sensitive are the filters? Would you know of a resource that might list these words or phrases? Thanks in advance…again! haha
