I have visited Rohtang Pass during our family trip to Manali. It is a gateway to Lahaul and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the most spectacular destinations in the entire Kullu region. It is the same road, which connects to Leh-Ladakh from Manali.
This picturesque pass is located around 51 kms away from Manali, on Manali Keylong highway. This mountain slope is so beautiful that people from every corner of the country visit this place to take part in adventure sports such as skiing, ice-skating, paragliding, etc. The Rohtang Pass is open for tourists from April to October.

@uavalentine @vijayparadkar True. Mountains everywhere are so inspiring - currently reading “View from the Summit” by Sir Edmund Hillary (the Mount Everest Fame) and finding it so inspiring. But for me…I prefer mountains without ice and snow - you know, like the Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats of India - no snow - looking like they are covered with huge green carpets.
