Unauthorized Use of Google Local Guides for Paid Reviews on LinkedIn

Dear Google Local Guides Support Team,

I would like to report a fraudulent job listing currently circulating on LinkedIn under the title:
“Google Local Guide / We Are Hiring Local Guides – Votegain.”

This listing offers monetary compensation for writing reviews and collecting business-related codes. They falsely use the “Google Local Guide” name to appear legitimate and claim users can earn 10 TL per review or 500–2000 TL per day.

This is a clear violation of Google Local Guides’ policy, which states that contributions must be voluntary and not incentivized with payment. It misleads potential users, damages the reputation of the Local Guides program, and promotes unethical practices.

The ad also includes WhatsApp numbers and links to external platforms, raising privacy and scam concerns.

Please take immediate action to investigate and request removal of this misleading job post from LinkedIn and any other platforms it appears on.

Hi @Cansu , thank you for reporting it.
I will escalate it immediately.
Unfortunately, as they are operating outside of the Google platform this will make a bit difficult for Google to act directly, but for sure they will take all the possible actions.

I also report them from Linked In. They name is Klick On . They’ve whatsapp number. Google team can contact them. Thanks a lot

Not sure if you can do anything about it. Did Google take any action? I have had similar experience here and they are still doing it.

Bu sorun oldum olası var. Bu işi şirket gibi iyi bir gelir kapısına getiren kişiler var. Sadece Türkiye’de değil, Avrupa’da gerçeği yansıtmayan 5 yıldızlı yorum yapıyorlar.

Google sistemi değişme konusunda yatırım yapmakta. Bunu sadece aldığım maillere göre değil, deneme yanılma yöntemi ile belirtirim. Yaşadığınız il dışındaki yerlere yorum bırakmanıza Google’un izin vermemesi buna bir örnek. Google’un izin vermediği yorum işletme sayfasına sayı olarak eklenmediği için form doldursanız da faydası olmaz.

Buradaki asıl sorun yorumun yüzde yüz kanıtlanır olmamasında. Bunu kanıtlamak mümkün değil çünkü gerçeği yansıtmayan yorumu yapan kişi işletmeyi haritalar üzerinden ziyaret edebilir.
