Hi everyone,
I was recently redirected from the Google Help Forum to this community because I am currently unable to see or leave reviews on Google Maps app on Android for any businesses. I have already tried several troubleshooting steps, including:
Clearing cache and data
Reinstalling the app
Signing out and back into my Google account
Checking for app and OS updates
My account doesn’t seem to be blocked or restricted, as you can see in the screenshot below.
As far as I understand, there is no option to contact Google tech support directly anymore for issues like this. It seems that help is only available through community forums now, which is why I’m reaching out here.
If anyone has experienced this before or knows a solution, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Small update: Apparently I am able to see and post reviews when using google maps through browser on laptop.

What exactly to you mean by Unable to Leave Reviews on Google Maps App? What version of the app did you use? Under Android or iOS? Can you share a link to a place, where leaving a review is not possible?
Looking at your profile, I see a review which was entered or edited five hours ago:

Hi Wilfried,
I am using Version google maps apl 25.17.00.749564752 on Android. The review you saw was made through google chrome browser on my phone, as a test to see if there is any issue on the part of my account or it’s only app-specific.
In the screenshot above you can see that the review tab is gone, and there is no other place I can find to read or write the review within the Google maps app of the said version I am using on my phone.

Hello @Stepans I am currently actively helping in the Google Maps help community forum (Bahasa Indonesia). For your case, if it turns out that you can leave a review via a browser, but not via the Google Maps application, IMHO then most likely the problem is in the application on your cellphone
To be more sure, if possible, please do this experiment: log in using the same account on the Google Maps application on another cellphone. Can you give a Google Maps review or not?
If it still doesn’t work, then it’s definitely a problem with your account. However, if you can, it means the problem is on your previous cellphone.

Ok, I’ve seem to have figured out the problem. I just came back from China and I still had my Chinese Sim Card mounted within my phone. After taking it out, the review section started working again as usual.
