UGH. "Rights Access Denied" issue when trying to open my draft posts on Connect...anyone else?

Is anyone else experiencing this infuriating issue accessing draft comments/posts on Connect? I’m racing against the clock to complete my application for Connect Live 2020, and this red dialogue error box is the bane of my (virtual :slightly_smiling_face: ) existence.

Just to clarify, I can see my list of Connect post drafts under my profile, but when I click on the link to edit one, I can no longer open it and continue to edit it - the red dialog box of denial loads immediately.

Perhaps there is an update to the Connect site going on in the background that’s causing the issue?

Or perhaps…I’M the issue and doing something wrong on my part?

Typical Samanthics (the world according to @SamanthaSheehy , teeheeheee) - of course I’D be the one denying MYSELF from accessing my own draft posts.

IIt could be that the spam filter kicked in. Maybe @ErmesT can help you out.

No, there is not a spam issue @SamanthaSheehy , @MortenCopenhagen

Please close everything, logout and clear the cache, then open Connect again and open your draft

Hi @ErmesT , hi @MortenCopenhagen -

I’ve cleared my history, cleared my cache, logged out, logged back in multiple times, and I’m still getting the “rights access denied” screen…

Any thoughts?

Am I truly the only one experiencing this issue?

Thanks for any help you can give,

I can’t do do so much @SamanthaSheehy

But I can tag a Google Moderator, @DeniGu for checking your profile tomorrow morning

@SamanthaSheehy

I usually use a google doc file to write more elaborate posts before I start dealing with this rather often quite annoying editor. Just to be safe. I know this won’t help you now.

On the screenshot you shared I don’t see any recent posts in Local Stories. Or am I wrong?

In my experience, when I lost some text, it can often be much faster retyping it instead of trying to recover it. I’m surprised how the phrases are coming back nicely from memory. Maybe you need to do the same.

I checked your connect profile and found only two posts. This one and a level-celebration.

Best of luck

Hi again @SamanthaSheehy ,

It seems that there was a temporary technical issue when you created your draft. Please note that Local Guides can only leave comments under posts in the Announcements and Help Desk sections of Connect, but can’t share their own posts there.

I’ll mark this reply as the solution because it answers your question. Thank you!
