TYPOGRAFI ON GREEN YOUNG COCONUT

This is a young green coconut that is easy and many you find in almost all corners of Indonesia. The price is also relatively cheap, for one “regular” green coconut you can buy it for 10,000 IDR. But it’s different from the young coconut in the photo. Because of creativity, the selling value of young coconuts has increased dramatically. That is what is called a value proposition. With a little touch of typography on the coconut shell then it will look more unique, beautiful and eccentric. Young coconut like in the photo is available on the beach in the hotel courtyard area of Nusa Dua Bali.
But don’t worry if you want just the benefits, you will be able to easily find this magical fruit anywhere in Indonesia. Especially in coastal areas, which are overgrown with coconut trees. Why is miraculous, I try to explain from several sources of the benefits of this young coconut:
According to several studies, young coconut water contains 16 calories and 4.1 grams of sugar. While the meat contained in young coconut contains 77 calories, 1.4 grams of protein, 3.6 grams of fat, 10 grams of sugar, 257 grams of potassium, and 6 milligrams of vitamin C.
Coconut water has very low calories, is also low in sodium, and contains higher potassium than a sports drink manufacturer. So the natural content of coconut water is indeed more recommended, than you consume a variety of energy drinks which are now widely sold in many supermarkets.
Besides good consumption in hot weather, coconut water can also be consumed when someone is losing a lot of fluids due to diarrhea. The benefits of this coconut can be an alternative to hydrate the body apart from water.
Meanwhile, the nutritional content of water and meat from old coconuts is generally higher than for young ones. Because, as time goes by in the trees, the coconut fruit continuously increases in weight and size. The older the coconut, then the amount of water and meat content will be more complete and maximum.

Hello dear @Ant_Bad_Yogi .

I love coconut. While I read @fafaguru post I was a bit confused what she actually mean by young coconut. I would love to ask you @Ant_Bad_Yogi and her @fafaguru to explain further?.

Because from the information she provided I guess young coconut is those one that is not yet matured enough to harvest(ripe).

Here in Nigeria, we drink coconut water and eat the flesh with maize(corn).

We also believe that the water can serve as a neutralizer for overdose drugs or even any drugs that you take. So it is advisable not to take coconut while you take drugs (conventional medicine).

We also use it to drink Garri . In this situation you do not need to add sugar to the Garri. Here the coconut water is use together with little pure water then while you take the Garri you accompany it with the coconut flesh bit by bit. It is actually very good and sweet.

You should try it @Ant_Bad_Yogi @Nyainurjanah .

Here is some pictures of ripe coconut

Here is the picture of coconut tree

we also use coconut to cook rice, named coconut rice. Very delicious.

Industries use it to produce creams and oil. E.t.c

I hope you like the little explanation.

Let me tag @To_paul Do you like coconut?

Why would you get different prices between local and foreign tourists?

Is that the local tourists pay higher or vice versa?

Let me tag @Nyainurjanah to explain if she knows why also?

So that when I visit I may disguise as a Local or I will just tell them I am a foreigner. wk wk wk, 555 :slightly_smiling_face:

Plus or minus 5 metres is pretty tall @Nyainurjanah That means you will have to look for a long stick to harvest the coconut or just allow it to fall down by itself.

Because here, the one we have in our house, we do not bother harvesting it because we didn’t plant it for commercial purposes.

Since it is for the family consumption, we allow it to fall by itself and when it falls, it is as matured as possible and the flesh is so milky as you can ever think. :slightly_smiling_face:

Try and allow it fall by itself @Nyainurjanah @Ant_Bad_Yogi @fafaguru and then eat it. wk wk wk

@Austinelewex Wow, thank you so much for the first hand information from Nigeria about coconuts. :slightly_smiling_face:

OK, in Thailand, we drink young coconut water and we eat young coconut meat. The water is sweet and the meat is soft and sweet.

For ripe coconuts, we don’t drink their water as it is mostly like coconut milk, not water. The meat is thick and a bit hard, so we use the meat for cooking instead.

For the monkeys, I think you already watch them in YouTube. But let me know if you can’t find it.

No no no, I hate eating young coconut flesh. It is not strong, it is very soft and whitish @Ant_Bad_Yogi . Even if you eat it when it is young, the sweetness is not yet out because it is not matured.

Pertaining to the water, when the coconut is still young it is full with water and the water barely have taste.

But when it is ripe, the water content reduces drastically and the sweetness comes out.

So if you do not prohibit eating matured coconut @Ant_Bad_Yogi , you should really try it.

Probably you would love to be eating it matured. 555

I am not used to them, and I consume them very rarely, the last one costing almost $ 3, enough for an organic coconut.
I don’t like the juice, I eat a little of that white stuff after I break the coconut,

Woow this is realy interesting discussion about coconut. Thank you @Austinelewex @Ant_Bad_Yogi

here is this I’ll try to make an explaination… cmiiw @Nyainurjanah about coconut in our country.

Young coconut is coconut which has slimy flesh or more commonly known as “degan” (Indonesian language) coconut. “Meat” (white contain) from young coconut has a white color that tends to be clear and soft-textured. The shape of the young coconut is the same as the coconut in general, which is still round. But young coconut has a bigger shape than other coconuts. Besides young coconut has a green color with brown berets on the skin. One young coconut has a lot of coconut water in it because of that many people who like young coconut. Young coconut is usually often made with degan ice or kopyor because the texture of the coconut “meat” is very soft and tasty.

I’ll use picture from internet,

young coconut, fresh from the tree…

Actually both young coconut and old coconut both have many health benefits. But if you want to drink and eat the meat directly it is fresher and more delicious young coconut. The health benefits contained in coconuts actually depend on the type of needs and metabolism of your body. from several articles I read that there are various health benefits from consuming young and old coconuts, whether it’s water and meat.

old coconut. this pict have I taken from Stockholm Asia Supermarket at 2016

In my country, old coconut is consumed to make coconut milk, used for cooking with vegetables or with processed meat, fish or other cooking ingredients.
