Have you ever had dining experience in a restaurant or café with two ambiances?
I had it when I visited an European patisserie and restaurant that are located in one place. The place is unique as we could feel two different ambiances.
The first one with medium to low lighting with wine bottles along the space is for Piquant, a fine dining restaurant that serves European haute cuisines which requires reservation in advance.
The second one near the cakes display and coffee bar with more casual vibes in a bright lighting is for Chicory European Patisserie.
We came here only for the dessert, so I am going to talk about the patisserie ![]()
Chicory European Patisserie serves variant of sandwiches, pastries, coffee, and the beautiful European cakes that we could see and choose directly from the display.
During the pandemic, this patisserie requires the staffs and customers to wear a face mask, do temperature checking, and they provide hand sanitizer as well.
We tried three kinds of different tarts. Let’s talk about the tart one by one!
Who knows there might be one that suits your taste buds ![]()
Yuzu Brulee
The tart has a thick and firm texture with a good taste. If your taste buds is more into sour taste, then this combination of the sour yuzu with a little sweet caramel will suit you best. I like this one! A refreshing sour tart indeed!
Wildberries
This is a blueberry tart filled with almond cream that I thought will have a combination of sour and sweet taste. However, the sweet taste is much more dominant.
Pear + Blueberry
For my taste, this one is better as the combination of pear and blueberry tart filled with almond cream that gives a less sweet taste rather than the Wildberries Tart above.
