I live alone, so it make no sense for me to cook turkey dinner for Thanksgiving day. Well, there’s also the fact that I can’t cook, but that’s a different story for another time
Luckily, I found out Black bear diner near my place that serves Thanksgiving dinner just for today. They have an option of smoked turkey, ham, and prime ribs. I decided to order the turkey dinner, and it comes with the usual sides of mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, string beans, cranberry sauce, and cornbread. It even includes pumpkin pie for dessert!
That’s a LOT isn’t it? I didn’t even finish half of it. Ate a bit for lunch, and going to eat the rest for dinner (and maybe breakfast too tomorrow?)
One suggestion I can make if you want to order from this place (they have several branches) is not to order through food delivery service. The food items are priced higher, and I assume that’s because they have to pay service fees (which can go up to 30%!). I found out today that they have their own website that can do online ordering, and the price is exactly the same as if you call in, or dine in at the restaurant. Their website link can be found on the Google Maps link.
In any case, this year has been tough isn’t it? It might be hard to find things to be thankful for. For me, I’m just thankful that I’m alive and breathing, and able to write this post, to share things with everyone here. And I’m sure there are a few other things to be thankful for here and here. We just need to look a bit deeper
In any case, what are you thankful for? I know Thanksgiving is mostly an American holiday, but we can always be thankful for any day of the year right? I know some countries other USA also do black friday. Did you do any shopping (online, I hope). Any good deals?
