I love telling folks about awesome things to do in SD. I’m a big fan [and player] of trivia games, especially bar trivia. Nothing goes better together than friends, fun, some social lubricant - a cocktail or 2 [or a mocktail, if you’re not a drinker] and some pursuit of the trivial.
If you are a trivia fiend and you like an excellent cocktail, you’re going to love Trivia night at @Sycamore Den in San Diego.
Tuesday night at 8pm the bar fills with smart, fun, and drinking folks to play a 2 hour game of various topic’d trivia. @LivePrizeTriva is the game and it’s a 20 question game filled with music and fun times. If you’re not into being a participant, you can certainly play along without vying for the prizes. There are a few rules either way – no shouting out answers – they are playing for prizes! And no electronic knowledge – no cell phones or smart watches.
The host has been doing trivia for about 4 years and the game flows well. The host moves through the bar collecting answers and schmoozing with folks. It’s like coming to a friend’s house for game night. Everyone is welcome and all have a blast.
The bartenders know their game as well … mixing amazing craft cocktails and having a great time doing it.
Wheelchair accessible and 2 non-gendered bathrooms. There is a fireplace in the sitting pit, 2 steps down that has no ramp.
