Cafe de Flora is a recently opened cafe in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj. Since it wasn’t mapped on Google maps I tried to add this place twice but the edit is being rejected.
And I know this place exists because I have dined here. It’s opened about 2 months back.
Can anyone help or advise why would this be rejected and what is to be done in this case?

Hi @Shalz it seems that this business (cafe) has been already claimed by it’s owner. It will be great if you can contact the owner(s) of the cafe and ask them to edit, if any updation is required.
There is a high chance of acceptance if the edit has been done by the owner.
@Shalz Your café edit may have been declined due to missing details, duplicate listing, or unverifiable info. Make sure the name, address, photos, and hours are accurate before resubmitting.
@Shaunak the owner only asked me to add this place and I sent an edit request ..this place is still not showing on maps and hence I can’t review
You may have a Merit though ..I wasn’t aware about the business claimed by owner thing but yes I do agree that there is a higher chance of acceptance if edited by the owner

the manager requested me to add this place to maps. It’s still now showing so duplicate listing is not possible ..I ddnt add the hours and the location is accurate ..
Oh @Shalz that means the Cafe De Flora in New Delhi that is visible on Google Maps is different from this one as it’s hidden.
Currently I can able to found only one cafe with this name in New Delhi.

Maybe I should leave it for now and ‘let go’ as you stated. I have already tried editing twice.

when trying to add the café, did you specify the same address as Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj and select is inside “Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj”?
@WilfriedB yes I added the same address.. but I am not sure if I mentioned inside Ambience Mall
2nd it’s a cafe & bakery in one edit I mentioned cafe and in another I mentioned bakery but both twice it was rejected
It is a separate field where you can enter the first characters and then select an existing place:
One more thing: Make sure if adding a phone number that it exist in a public directory under the same name.
Google Maps keeps track of your contributions. If your name edits (or any type of edits) repeatedly get approved, this is because your trust score for name edits is high. If none of your name edits get approved, your trust score for this type of edit is low. I have not seen Google staff publicly share anything about the trust scores.
@WilfriedB yes I know about this separate field but am not sure if i filled it..maybe I can it another try incorporating your suggestion

All the places I have added have been accepted barring this one though
