Its been Magical 2 Days The Connect Live Tokyo is Google’s global gathering for Local Guides, celebrating 10 years of the program within its 20‑year Google Maps journey. The event took place at Shibuya Stream in Tokyo’s Shibuya City on July 24–25, 2025. 55+ top contributors from around 15+ countries attended, as invited by Google for their outstanding contributions to the Google Maps. I was so thrilled, excited, happy and felt like over the moon. I would like to thank everyone on the team who made ConnectLIVE vibrant and successful with their tireless work and dedication.

Arrival & Welcome at Hotel Lyf Shibuya
This was my first time participating in Connect Live as a local guide. All the local guides’ accommodations at Hotel Lyf Shibuya were sponsored by Google. This was such a cool thing.

Inaugural Speeches by Google Personnel
@Kristen_NYC started ConnectLIVE with a welcome speech. One by one, Google officers gave introductory speeches. I probably couldn’t explain in writing that it was such a colorful, friendly, and positive event. I raised a glass and cheer for Celebrating 10 years of Local Guides and 20 years of Google maps.
