Trip to Trabzon
Is about 1:15 from Istanbul by Air & cost around 70USD return ticket by local budget flights.
When you reach Trabzon Airport & you want to stay at Uzungol than another 1hr drive & I suggest either rent a car “which will make your life easy” or take a taxi. Possible bus from City Center. To get to Uzungol you must first go to Trabzon. Uzungöl is 100 km from Trabzon
Uzungöl is a plateau & lake also a little village which have touristic pensions, no big names hotels at Uzungol but boutique small hotels at the range of 32USD to 70USD “low season”. Don’t dare to be here on high season without booking the hotel in advance.
Easy life at Uzungol & you rent a bike & ride around. Uzungöl area is a valley with a clean brook which flows through the lake. The weather is cloudly & cool in Uzungol.
The facilities in Uzungöl have not really been planned with children in mind, so do not expect too much from the area.
If you wish to come with your kids & enjoy a nice holiday in the arms of Mother Nature, then be prepared to stay mostly in Uzungol. You will need to make the best of the facilities and the area. The place to enjoy nature & relaxation.
