Karachi to Manora via car is about 36 km (from main shar-e-faisal). I’d recommend you guys to follow directions given by Google Maps. It took us from an extremely smooth road without any hassle. At the enterance of Manora, which is after Sandspit, you’ll be asked to show your CNIC for verification.
Furthermore, they’ll keep it with themselves and issue you a ticket for the car. On your way back, you’ll have to give that ticket to take your CNIC from them. The road to Manora wasn’t open for public previously, we were only allowed to go there through a boat. Now that the road it open, they’ve developed the entire area. Though, it’s still under construction and would probably take a year or so to complete.
If you’re willing to head over to the beach, sadly, you cannot. The area was closed. However, you know Pakistanis don’t follow rules, we witnessed people jumping around and going to the beach anyway. We didn’t go there, we took pictures from far away and came back. When it comes to entertainment, there’s absolutely nothing for now. But if you wanna enjoy a long drive and nature, GO AHEAD! It was fun, tbh. The view was breathtaking, clean water of the island, the hues of blue and green were prominent. One side, the sky was crystal clear and blue. Over the other side, there were beautiful clouds. Ah, magnificent!
Take some snacks along, enjoy them in your car and well, that’s about it. I almost forgot to mention, do put on some sunblock because the sun will definitely burn your skin.
P.S: there are no ticket charges or whatsoever
