Trdelník

"Trdelník "

JOZSEF GADANYI

Hello @Bonjourtaiwan . I have to correct you. Trdelník originates from Hungary, not Czech Republic. Yes there are many trdelník shops and stalls around but it is not original Czech. I live in Prague with my Czech wife and she has told me this and friends also say same thing.

Bonjourtaiwan

Bonjourtaiwan

Dear RadieN

I prefer cinnamon flavor.

Dear @TheEagleEye

You are right !

I checked the wikipedia,they said:

Trdelník originates from the cuisine of the Hungarian speaking part of Transylvania (in today’s Romania), where it is called kürtőskalács. After 2010 it has penetrated to many places popular for tourists in the Czech Republic or Slovakia.…etc

This looks really delicious @Bonjourtaiwan !

I will be going to Hungary soon, and now I’m determined to find these.

Maybe @Petra_M can be helpful about this originally being a Hungarian treat?

Hi @MortenSI ,

Thanks for the tag.

@Bonjourtaiwan you are absolutely right, and it’s a traditional Transilvanian sweet. You can find it everywhere in Hungary too, because it’s very popular. There are many many flavors, so it’s super difficult to choose.

PS: You can check out the Körösfői Kürtőskalács in Budapest for some photos.

It looks amazing, and I will make sure to go here and try one, or maybe two or three of them.

Just as a reminder, don’t forget when responding to others make sure to tag them (by writing @ before their names) in a post so they can receive notifications that you are communicating with them.

As @TheEagleEye maintained, in my opinion is as well originally from Hungry, but so we are one Europe and for sure it is one of the Visegrad states  I love this tredelnik really and this is the most important.

Hi @Bonjourtaiwan ,

You know so many languages! So both Simplified and Traditional Chinese are okay for you? Where did you learn French and Japanese?
